EUS-FNB Helps Diagnose Adenocarcinoma of the Pancreas and Facilitates Palliative Treatment Using a Duodenal Stent by Dr. Oza

Patient History

A 74-year-old male with a past medical history of smoking and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease presented to the emergency room with complaints of nausea and vomiting and a three week history of fatigue and weight loss. On admission, a CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis was performed which revealed dilated common bile duct, a pancreatic mass with multiple metastatic lesions within the liver, as well as what appeared to be a small bowel obstruction with a transition point in the distal duodenum.
